Madrid is set to make a splash this summer with the launch of Kilauea, a groundbreaking new attraction at Aquopolis Villanueva de la Cañada. Opening alongside the park's summer season on 12 June 2026, Kilauea is being promoted as a unique water roller coaster experience unlike any other in Europe.
Inspired by the famous Hawaiian volcano, the attraction combines the excitement of a roller coaster with the refreshing thrill of a water ride. Stretching nearly 180 metres, reaching heights of 7 metres, and speeds of up to 35 km/h, Kilauea features four acceleration zones, immersive visual effects, and a spectacular 30-metre launch ramp powered by water jets.
The new attraction forms part of Mana Nui, a brand-new 4,500-square-metre area within the park designed for both adventure and relaxation, complete with dedicated leisure spaces for visitors to unwind between rides.
With temperatures rising and summer just around the corner, Aquopolis Villanueva de la Cañada is preparing to welcome thrill-seekers and families alike for what promises to be one of Madrid's most exciting new attractions of 2026. Tickets are available from €19.90, with free admission for children under 100 cm and companions of visitors with disabilities.
For adrenaline, water fun, and unforgettable summer memories, Kilauea is set to become Madrid's must-visit attraction this season.
