One of the world’s most prestigious educational institutions, Brighton College, is set to open a new campus in Madrid’s Moncloa-Aravaca district in 2027, bringing its internationally recognized British education model to the Spanish capital.
Known for achieving some of the highest A-Level results in the UK and regularly sending students to universities such as Oxford and Cambridge, Brighton College has been named “School of the Decade” by The Sunday Times. The new Madrid campus will initially offer the first eight educational levels and aims to grow to around 1,000 students in the coming years.
The school will be located on Calle Gobelas, in one of Madrid’s most affluent residential areas. Alongside its academic programme, students will have access to a broad range of activities including sports, performing arts, debate, public speaking, and STEAM subjects.
Tuition fees will vary depending on the academic level and whether students are boarders or day students. In the UK, Brighton College fees typically range between £8,000 and £12,000 per term for day students, placing the institution among the world’s most exclusive private schools.
The Madrid campus will be led by George Hartley, an experienced British school leader, who aims to combine the college’s academic excellence with a global outlook while celebrating Madrid’s culture and traditions. The opening forms part of Brighton College’s broader expansion into southern Europe, with additional campuses planned in Lisbon and Rome.
